The kitchen facilities were very good. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and I wouldn't have changed anything. Car parking was a great bonus and the location was very good.
Everything was more than I expected from a hostel and more.

The staff are very polite and helpfull, the accomodation is one of the best i have stayed in for a backpackers hostel. I will certainly be recomending the portree hostel to any friends looking for accomodation or anyone else for that matter. On a scale of one to ten i would give them 150 they are absolutely magnifcent.

It's a nice hostel with a relaxing TV room and sofas.
The price is very high for the offered services. I went in hostels with the same quality and less expensive of ten euros !

We stayed in the Hostel part of the Portree and were astonished at its cleanliness. The common space was very tidy, it offered cooking facilities and a fridge and we were offered free coffee, tea and even fruits. A very decent place to stay, especially when travelling with friends. - Das Portree Hostel teilt sich in zwei Bereiche, wir waren in der Tiefparterre, im Herbergsbereich. Auch wenn wir den Gemeinschaftsbereich kaum nutzten, so waren wir doch beeindruckt wie ordentlich und sauber alles gehalten war. Es gibt Kochgelegenheiten, Kühlschrank und man konnte sich jederzeit an Tee, Kaffee sowie einer Obstschale bedienen. Ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Haus, vor Allem wenn man mit Freunden reist.

We enjoyed the use of the kitchen and shared living room facilities.
With only two bathrooms, and around 12 people staying at the hostel while we were there, the wait in the morning was fairly ridiculous.
